About the Guild

Mission Statement

Sonoma County Culinary Guild is an alliance of food, beverage, and agriculture professionals, and friends, dedicated to education, resource sharing, and community service. The Guild is an open forum that explores common interests in a convivial atmosphere. Our diverse membership respects the heritage and supports the promise of agriculture in Sonoma County.

The Sonoma County Culinary Guild is a 501 (c)(6) nonprofit corporation.

Networking Opportunities

Due to the wide-ranging expertise of its members, the Guild offers unique networking opportunities. Contacts made through the Guild often lead to fruitful professional relationships.

Community Service

Guild members participate in various community service activities and, as a group, we continually seek to utilize our resources in an effort to address the ever-changing needs of our county.

The Sonoma County Culinary Guild’s Jane Benét Scholarship was endowed in 1993 to honor Benét, the founding food editor for the San Francisco Chronicle and former SCCG newsletter editor. The scholarship is available to Santa Rosa Junior College Culinary or Dietetics students a who have chosen a career path in culinary and related fields, show financial need, and maintain GPA of at least 3.0.
 

Membership

Professional and Corporate members include chefs, restaurateurs, caterers, enologists, viticulturists, agriculturists, food writers, authors, publicists, photographers, stylists, retailers, graphic designers, illustrators, educators, consultants, and students pursuing careers in these areas.

Friends of the Guild members include people who support the culinary bounty of Sonoma County but who may not work in the culinary field.
